Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, is pleased to offer a preventive health event at First United Methodist Church Sweetwater on Monday, March 11.  Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. Current Opportunities

This is a wonderful organization that provides residential treatment for pregnant women and pregnant women with children. Ginger Mantooth, who presented at the Young at Heart Potluck luncheon in January explained that they were a full-service Recovery Center providing residential treatment in a loving, yet structured environment where a woman can receive the support she needs, while living with and caring for her children. If you would like to support this women’s facility, items currently needed are:
 Huggies & Pampers (sizes 2 & 3), baby wipes & other baby toiletries
 Hand Sanitizer—alcohol free
 Dreft (or any brand of baby laundry detergent)
